The realization came while he was walking on stage for the Temple University’s 2003 Spring Commencement Ceremony. Shatan Greene wanted to be an educator, and a diverse one at that.
His passion for knowledge and learning manifested when Shatan was in high school where he excelled continuously through college. He wanted to remove the common notion of nerds- that if you are outstanding and received stellar grades, then you were deemed one. Mr Greene wishes to inculcate into young people the importance of education and excelling at it is should not be embarrassing.
Shatan Greene is dedicated to provide education and his effective way of doing this is by heading H.I.G.H.E.R. Tutorial Services, Inc, a company established to provide assistance to both privileged and underprivileged students, where he can influence more minds by sharing his wisdom and knowledge. He decided to become a tutor to enable more room for learning not only one aspect.
Shatan Greene loves diversity and Shatan is inclined to continue learning other fields of education. As a matter of fact, during his time at Temple University, Mr Greene became a working student and held a job as a researcher in Ornithology. Shatan also worked in the University Hospital’s emergency room to obtain more knowledge and experience.
